Acer has released new entries to their Predator and Nitro Gaming lineup led by the Predator Helios 500 which comes with a top of the line Nvidia GeForce graphics card and a Core i9 processor.
Predator Helios 500
The Helios 500 comes with an overclockable Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 graphics card and an 8th Generation Intel Core i9 processor with up to 64GB of RAM. It offers a premium gaming experience, as it was developed to run AAA titles and live stream all at the same time. To further immerse gamers, it comes with a 17.3-inch FHD IPS display with support for G-Sync and 144hz refresh rate for blur and tear-free gaming.
For an immersive audio experience, it comes with two built-in stereo speakers and a subwoofer, supported by Acer TrueHarmony and Waves MaxxAudio sound technology to deliver an immersive and hyper-realistic 3D audio thanks to Waves Nx. The Helios 500 will come two variants of the mentioned Intel i9 or an i7 variant which cost RM12,999 and RM8,999 respectively.
Acer Nitro 5
The Nitro 5 has gotten an upgrade with an 8th Generation Core i7+ which is one of the first laptops in Malaysia that comes with Intel Plus processor. Other than that, it also comes with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and 4GB RAM. The laptop is made for the mainstream gamers that just want to enjoy gaming. However, it still delivers a smooth and responsive experience thanks to the Intel Optane memory and 1TB of HDD storage. The screen is a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display which offers great audio and visual experience thanks to Dolby Audio and Acer TrueHarmony technology. Finally, the Nitro 5 comes with Acer Coolboost which features dual fans that deliver superior cooling, allowing the Nitro 5 to run for long hours without any issues. The Nitro 5 will be available starting 1st July 2018 and will cost only RM3,999
Predator Orion 5000
The Orion 5000 is a step down from the Orion 9000, but it still comes with top of the line specs that will offer you a great experience. It comes equipped with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8700 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM upgradable 64GB paired with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card. Acer has also included their IceTunnel 2.0 design which separates the internal into different thermal zones to offer a better heat dispersion. The front mesh panel will filter out dust while pulling in massive amounts of air. The Orion 500 will be available mid-July and will cost RM7,899. It also comes with a Predator USB Flare keyboard and mouse to complete the gaming setup
Acer Nitro 50 Desktop
Similar to the Nitro 5, the Nitro 50 is built for the mainstream gaming in mind. It comes with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of DDR4 RAM which can be expanded to 64GB of RAM and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 processor. This allows the desktop to output 4K resolution visuals and it will support up to four monitors. Storage wise, it comes with 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD, so storage is definitely not an issue here. Finally, it comes with a Qi-enabled wireless charger to keep your phone charged while gaming. The Nitro 50 will be made available by the end of July and is bundled with an Acer wireless keyboard and mouse for a price of RM4,239.
Predator X27 Gaming Monitor
The X27 can be considered the mother of all monitors as it features Quantum Dot technology and supports 99% of the Adobe RGB space as well as Nvidia G-Sync for smooth gameplay. It comes with a 4K display and 144hz refresh rate, 4ms response time and 1,000 nits peak brightness. The features go on, as it comes with Predator HDR Ultra technology and LED local dimming with 384 individually controlled zones that light upon when required. This allows for deeper blacks on certain parts of the screen which is great for games and movies that have dark scenes. There is an optional Predator Shield that not only immerses gamers, but it also helps to prevent glare from ambient lights. Lastly, it comes with Predator GameView which allow you to save up to three custom game modes for gamers to switch between while gaming or use the preset settings already available. This very impressive monitor will be released into the market mid-July and will cost RM9,999.
Predator Aethon 500 Keyboard
Acer is also adding a new peripheral to its line up with the Aethon 500 to complete the Predator gaming experience. It is an extra-durable mechanical keyboard with a lifespan of 70 million strokes per key and gamers can customize every individual key with 16.8 million colour options using the Predator Quartermaster application.
