How to access hidden genres on Netflix

For those of you that have Netflix and want something more out of it, here’s a little hint for you. There are actually more categories of movies than the ones that are listed in the app, it is all hidden but there is a way for you to view all of them.

There is a site called Finder which will list down all the genres that Netflix has hidden and produce a code in which you can put into the address. Some of you might realize that if you are watching a certain genre for awhile, it might list some like “Action Sci-Fi Movies” if you have been watching a lot of action movies. To get access to this category, sadly you would need to do it on the browser version of Netflix, simply go to Finder and click the genre that interest you and it will automatically open up that particular genre on the browser showing you the movies related to that genre.

All these hidden genres are associated with a code and if you manage to get this codes from the Internet, there are multiple sites that list them and all you need to do is key in http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/xxxxx, just replace the Xs with the number you found and you will be transported into the hidden world of Netflix’s hidden genres. Do note that not all these genres will be available in every region but most of them should work.
