A dual rear camera, the latest rumor to hit the Galaxy Note 7

Don’t worry, you’re not the only confused one here. Recently, there were reports claiming that Samsung will be naming their next phablet the Galaxy Note 7, instead of the Galaxy Note 6, to once and for all avoid the confusion that the phablet is trailing behind the Galaxy S series. Nevertheless, new rumors have emerged that the next Samsung flagship phablet will feature a dual rear camera, on top of its massively spec-ed internals.

This rumors adds on to a list of what seems to be pretty impressive specs, including a curved edge screen at 5.8-inches with QHD resolution, Snapdragon 823 SoC with a whopping 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage a massive 4,000mAh battery, plus a possible IP rating for water resistance like the Galaxy S7 series. So far this year, we’ve seen the likes of the modular LG G5, Huawei’s P9 and its sub-brand Honor V8, all sporting dual rear camera setups. The iPhone 7 Plus is rumored to be packing two cameras on the back as well, so it’s probably wise not to rule out Samsung’s next flagship phablet of such possibility, but take it with a huge grain of salt

As far as the name of the phablet goes, we’re still hoping on more solid and consistent rumors or leaks. Possible names include the Galaxy Note 6, Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy Note 6 or 7 with an additional Edge name behind. An early unveiling of the phone has already been ruled out, so we’re looking at a possible mid-August launch, according to popular tipster Evan Blass not to long ago. Will the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/7 sport a dual rear camera? Let us know your thoughts at the comments section below!
