Huawei has been thriving pretty well in the competition of smartphones. Although it still sits behind Samsung and Apple, making it the third largest smartphone manufacturer globally, the Chinese company intends and is projected to overtake Apple for the number 2 spot within the next two years. Huawei has recently launched its latest flagship, the Huawei Mate 9, and the phablet is slated to take advantage of the unsuccessful Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which has been put to death. On top of that, Huawei has boasted over 9 million units of the P9 being sold so far.
According to a report by Playfuldroid, Huawei made the announcement at one of its official events yesterday. Back in September, the Chinese manufacturer has claimed that 6 million units of the P9 were sold, meaning that at least 3 million more P9’s were shipped out in a period of two months compared to the 6 million units over the course of nearly six months. This is indeed a milestone for Huawei, and if this impressive run continues, the company would certainly thrive further in the smartphone market.
The Huawei P9 is one of the more notable smartphones that were unveiled this year, mostly due to its Leica authorized dual rear camera configuration. The company carried on the dual camera trend with its sub brand Honor launching the Honor V8 and the Honor 8, plus its most recent Mate 9, which is expected to cause some waves as well.
9 million Huawei P9’s have already been sold, and we expect the figure to surpass the 10 million mark by the end of this year, as the company gears up for yet a more competitive year ahead. What do you think of Huawei’s milestone with the P9?
