Xiaomi reveals fastest 80W Mi Wireless Charging technology

Xiaomi recently introduced its latest Mi Wireless Charging technology that supports 80W fast charging — the fastest wireless charging speed announced so far.

Mi 10 Pro fully charged in 19 minutes

In a video posted by Xiaomi on YouTube, the new wireless charging technology can charge the 4,000mAh on a modified Mi 10 Pro from 0% to 10% in 1 minute and to 50% in just 8 minutes. To get it fully charged, Xiaomi only needed 19 minutes.

80W Mi Wireless Charging can mean new future for smartphones?

This is an interesting feature to look forward to — getting fast charging via wireless technology could mean that future phones no longer need to depend on wired charging. This will also mean that there’s a higher chance of manufacturers producing smartphones without charging ports.

Xiaomi’s 80W Mi Wireless Charging technology is faster than most wired charging technologies. Even OPPO’s Find X2 series only support 65W charging via its cable. At the beginning of the year, Xiaomi also showed off its 40W wireless charging, but it’s still not available to the public yet.
