Garmin launches the fēnix 6 series in Malaysia, starting from RM2,999

Garmin just released the fēnix 6 series in Malaysia, featuring the fēnix 6S, fēnix 6X and fēnix 6. These smartwatches come with Power Manager and Body Battery, two features that help prolong their battery lives and better manage their fitness and health progress.

The Power Manager feature allows users to see their battery life in hours and days so that they can clearly plan their activities without worrying about the smartwatch running out of battery. In addition, users can customize the battery saving modes to extend battery life. The fēnix 6 series also uses Body Battery feature to monitor their body energy levels so that they can schedule their workouts, rest times and sleep times. 

The fēnix 6 has a 1.3-inch display while the fēnix 6S and the fēnix 6X have a 1.4-inch display. Garmin also added Sapphire editions to these three models that so that they’re more scratch-resistant and durable.

The fēnix 6X Pro Solar edition also has a sunlight-readable display as it is designed with Power Glass — a transparent solar charging lens. With this lens, the smartwatch can extend its battery life when it gets solar energy (sunlight). According to Garmin, the smartwatch can last 21 days even without the solar charging feature. 

Moreover, the fēnix 6 series has topographic maps for various outdoor activities like ski maps and golf courses. It also comes with on-device music storage, so you can listen to up to 2,000 songs with any of these devices without needing your phone with you. Like any other smartwatch, the fēnix 6 series also alerts you when there’s incoming calls, texts, and notifications.

Other features include heart-rate tracking, Pulse OX for advanced sleep monitoring and also altitude acclimation. It also has a compass, barometric altimeter, gyroscope and of course, GPS. These smartwatches come with 10ATM rating and 32GB of storage.

The fēnix 6 series is officially available from today onwards and the models are priced as below:

• fēnix 6X – Titanium Carbon Gray DLC with Black Band (Pro Solar Edition): RM4,699
• fēnix 6X – Titanium Carbon Grey DLC with DLC Titanium Bracelet (Pro Solar Edition): RM5,699

Do note that the RM5,699 fēnix 6X model will only be available later this year.
