Redmi K20 Pro rumored to launch as Pocophone F2 Pro in global markets

Earlier this week, Xiaomi’s independent Redmi sub-brand launched the K20 and K20 Pro Android smartphones in its home market. According to a new rumor, the Redmi K20 could launch in international markets as the Pocophone F2. In Russia, however, the phone will be sold as the Mi 9T.

The latest rumor claims the Redmi K20, which features a Snapdragon 730 chipset, will be arriving as Pocophone F2 in select markets, succeeding the Pocophone F1 from last year. However, the true spiritual successor of the Pocophone F1 will be the Redmi K20 Pro, which runs on a flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset. The Redmi K20 Pro is rumored to launch in several markets as the Pocophone F2 Pro.

Redmi K20 and K20 Pro both come with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display and a motorized 20MP popup selfie camera. On the back, they feature a 48MP + 13MP + 8MP triple-camera setup with 2x optical zoom. Fueling the internals of the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphones is a 4000mAh non-removable battery. While the K20 only supports 18W fast charging, the K20 Pro has 27W fast charging support.

What remains to be seen is exactly when Xiaomi plans to launch the two devices in global markets. It is possible that the duo may debut in at least a few markets outside China before the end of the current quarter.
