Google will not be selling the 2nd Gen Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch anymore, as the watch has vanished from its official store. The 2nd Gen Moto 360, which is no doubt one of the most popular Android Wear smartwatches till today, like many other wearables, is unavailable on the Google Store website, and will most probably not see a return to the site.
Still being seen as one of the best smartwatches in the Android space, the 2nd Gen Moto 360 has definitely well aged since its release back in September 2015. The removal of the wearable from the Google Store website is possibly due to the fact that Android Wear 2.0 will finally see a public release really soon. Recently, Evan Blass has tipped that the new version of Android Wear will be released on the 9th of February. This, coupled with another fact that Google will be launching two new flagship smartwatches in the near future, could be why we don’t see the 2nd Gen Moto 360 on sale via Google.
Perhaps, Motorola is in the midst of making a 3rd Gen Moto 360 that will run Android Wear 2.0 out of the box. 2nd Gen users need not to worry though, as their Moto 360 smartwatches will be supporting Android Wear 2.0. But if you are still willing to get your hands on the 2nd Gen Moto 360, you will have to seek other avenues apart from the Google Store and the Moto site. What do you think?
