Twitter will soon let users hide tweet replies they find irrelevant or inappropriate

While Twitter’s new camera function — similar to Instagram’s Stories — is finally available to most countries, Twitter has already started testing out another new feature that lets users hide tweets.

Discovered via reverse engineering by Jane Manchun Wong, the new feature will let users hide any replies that they find inappropriate or they just don’t want to see. So, the next time you find a tweet annoying, offensive or even just from someone you dislike, you can just hide their tweets on your posts.

There’s also the option to view the hidden tweets. Just click on the arrow icon on the top right of the tweet and you’ll be given the option to “View Hidden Tweets”, which will lead you to a page filled with hidden replies.

According to Wong, this feature is currently functional on Android, but iOS was not mentioned. It could be possible that iOS users have no access yet, but it’s just a matter of time before they do.
