2023 Hyundai Staria 10-seater launched in Malaysia from RM179K onwards

Hyundai Sime-Darby Motors has unveiled the 2023 Hyundai Staria 10-seater luxury MPV today, the futuristic spaceship looking MPV first made its debut last year with a Premium variant that’s still on sale and priced at RM368,888, and Hyundai is looking to make this new variant more appealing to customers and it officially replaces the Grand Starex with a starting price of RM179,888.

The 2023 Hyundai Staria features a 2.2 litre turbodiesel engine that produces 177PS and 431Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, it is the most versatile large MPV that offers maximum flexibility with its seat configuration and full-flat seats, the fully flatten seats can also be turned into a bed for two for camping trips.

On the tech side of things, the Staria is probably the most well-equipped among its competitors, featuring a 10.25-inch instrument cluster display and an 8-inch large touchscreen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the Max variant comes with a 360-surround view camera for parking convenience, power sliding door, powered tailgate and electronic sidestep.

Hyundai’s SmartSense suite of safety features is also equipped on the Max variant, including Blind-Spot Collision Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Attention Warning and many more, the Staria will also come with 6 airbags on all variants.

In other conveniences, the Hyundai Staria 10-seater comes with a total of 8 USB ports with 1 reserved for data connectivity, while the Max variant has a Qi wireless charging pad that is equipped with a temperature sensor and cooling function so your smartphone won’t overheat while charging.

The 2023 Hyundai Staria 10-seater is currently available for preview and booking at 1 Utama Shopping Mall this week, while you can walk into any Hyundai dealerships to check it out as well, it is available in three variants of Lite, Plus and Max, which is priced at RM179,888, RM196,888 and RM209,888 respectively for OTR price without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia.
