The OPPO Reno5 series was launched earlier this month in its native China, but the brand didn’t unveil the series’ most exciting variant, the Reno5 Pro+. As it turns out, OPPO just wanted to give the world a nice Christmas present by finally announcing the model now!
The Reno5 Pro+ has built garnered a lot of eyeballs over the past month or so because it finally brings back a flagship variant to the Reno series – this model comes with a Snapdragon 865 chipset, a whopping 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The phone is equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ display that pushes a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen is curved, and houses a punch-hole camera on the top left corner of the panel.
The Reno name is known for its photography prowess, and this lives up to the expectations a little with a 50MP camera setup. There’s a 13MP telephoto shooter, a 16MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The aforementioned selfie camera is a 32MP module, which is standard in 2020.
Powering the device is a 4,500mAh battery which supports up to 65W of SuperVOOC 2.0 fast cahrging, as well as reverse charging.
The Reno5 Pro+ is priced at CNY 3,999 (about RM2,486) for the 8GB+128GB model, while the 12GB+256GB variant will go for CNY4,499 (about RM2,797), which is a pretty good deal for such a powerful device. There’s no word on when it’ll arrive in Malaysia yet, but we’ll keep you updated when we hear more from the local OPPO team.
