The realme 7 and realme 7 Pro have been launched today, bringing the first smartphone in Malaysia to sport the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset.
The realme 7 comes with a 6.5-inch FHD display that pushes a refresh rate of 90Hz and touch sampling rate of 120Hz. The phone sports a punch hole notch on the top left, while boasting a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5%.
The design at the back is what Realme calls the ‘AG split’ design where a line dissects two distinct finishes on the back panel. The phone is available in Mist White and Mist Blue – when light shines on the panel, the two finishes shimmer differently, giving the phone a unique look.
There’s a quad 64MP camera system that allows high-res photography in both AI and Pro mode. There’s also an 8MP ultrawide camera, as well as a portrait and macro lens. The familiar Starry Mode and Night Filters are available. Over on the front is a 16MP selfie lens too.
Under the hood is the brand-new MediaTek Helio G95 gaming chipset which packs ARM Cortex A76 and A55 cores, plus an ARM Mali G76 GPU chip. There’s 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Powering the smartphone is a massive 5,000mAh battery; plus the phone supports 30W Dart Charge which chargers the phone from zero to 100 in 65 minutes.
realme 7 Pro
The realme 7 Pro has a smaller 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, with a similar overall look. It comes in Mirror Silver and Mirror Blue.
The phone sports the same 64MP quad camera setup as the standard realme 7, but comes packed with a 32MP lens instead.
In terms of hardware, the phone sports a Snapdragon 720G chip with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is again expandable to 256GB.
The realme 7 Pro has a smaller 4,500mAh battery but it supports realme’s whopping 65W SuperDart Charge which powers the phone to full in just 34 minutes.
The realme 7 is priced at RM1,299 while the realme 7 Pro costs RM1,499 – the former will be available to pre-order this 24-25 September and comes with a free neck massager. The phone will be available for offline sale this 26 September at realme’s authorized dealers.
The realme 7 Pro will go on sale via realme’s Shopee page this 29 September and customers will get a realme Watch for free. Offline sales start this October 3, while pre-order start now and end Oct 2 and gets customers the realme Buds Q White Edition.
