ASUS is going all out in their creator segment with the ProArt StudioBook One, which will set you back an eye-watering RM49,999.
But it’s that pricey for a good reason – the workhorse laptop comes with a top-of-the-line NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 GPU which has a whopping 24GB of GDDR6 VRAM; alongside that are an Intel Core i9-9980HK unlocked CPU and 64GB of DDR4 2600MHz RAM.
The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch LED back-lit 4K display that has 100% Adobe RGB rating, is PANTONE validated, and has a Delta E colour rating of less than one – expected of a premium creator’s workstation. The screen also pushes a refresh rate of 120Hz.
What sets the ProArt StudioBook One apart from other laptops of its class – all its components are placed on the back panel, where the monitor is, and this laptop has a pop-up hinge that lifts at an angle to allow better air airflow. There are two fans placed near the bottom which intakes air, and exhausts it through the top of the panel.
This is a design that was made in collaboration with with NVIDIA, so the laptop also looks classy with a relatively thin build, plus cool beveled edges for a flashier aesthetic.
In terms of I/O ports, the laptop comes with 3xThunderbolt 3 USB C ports with DP 1.4 support. This allows you to connect an 8K display should you require monitor extensions. Powering the laptop is a 90Wh battery and it’s charged with a 300W adapter that comes in the box.
