Android 10 was just publicly released last week but HUAWEI phones aren’t the first few to receive the software update. However, HUAWEI revealed a timeline on its slide during IFA 2019 as to when its devices will be getting the update with EMUI 10.
According to HUAWEI, there will be over 30 models that will be upgraded to EMUI 10 — meaning that they will also be getting Android 10. Of course, with the US government ban on HUAWEI, the new Mate 30 will probably be missing out on Android 10.
However, rest assured that the other HUAWEI device will still be getting the new software update. This includes the P30 and P30 Pro launched earlier this year and the Mate 20 series launched last year. The P30 series is expected to be updated with EMUI 10 in November while the Mate 20 series alongside the HONOR View 20 and HONOR 20 series will receive the update in December.
Despite the given timeline, the complications between HUAWEI and the US government may cause delays. There are also several HUAWEI and HONOR devices that have yet to receive EMUI 9.1 update so it’s best to just believe that the timeline is just an estimate. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 7 Pro, Essential Phone and Redmi K20 Pro have already gotten Android 10 on the same day of its release.
