HUAWEI has been consistently reassuring it’s users for the past few weeks, ensuring that they’ll still get updates on their phones. To further solidify that statement, HONOR’s Magic UI 2.1 and HUAWEI’s EMUI 9.1 are finally available to some of their phones.

The HONOR View20 will now be receiving the Magic UI 2.1 update while the HONOR 9 Lite will be getting EMUI 9.1 that is already rolling out. In the near future, devices like HONOR 7X, HONOR View10, HONOR 8 Lite and more will also be receiving the update.

In the new OS, there will be several performance upgrades including a reduction in power consumption by up to 10% — extending battery life. In addition, GPU Turbo 3.0 is now compatible with 25 mobile games and there’s a new EROFS (Extend Read-Only file system) that enhances the read write performance of flash memory.
