As MSI Malaysia is about to announce new gaming laptops in the coming week, one sharp-eyed reader have tipped us off that one of the local dealers has started selling GTX 16 series GPU equipped MSI gaming laptops, and to be realistic, he even went down to Low Yat Plaza to snap a few picture of these laptops.

Based on the shots, we are seeing four models being fitted with the new GTX 16 series, the mid-range GF63 and GF75 will come with a GTX 1650 4GB graphics card and 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H processors. Interestingly, despite the GL63 and GL73 are the more expensive models fitted with a GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GPU, they are still using 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H processors.

One good thing to note is that MSI is equipping these mid-range laptops with 512GB of PCIe SSD as standard, while it is a shame that only the GL series get 16GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM. Apart from that, the GF series come equipped with an IPS panel while the GL series comes with a VA panel, which the latter technically should have better response time.

According to our tipster, the laptops have apparently hit store shelves since two weeks ago, and if the price listed on the pictures are final, MSI is offering a really good deal here as a replacement for GTX 1050 and GTX 1060 gaming laptops.
