If you’re in the market for a lightweight laptop that boasts power and portability, you’ll be glad to know that Acer has announced the Acer Predator Triton 500 – a portable laptop that’s equipped with a Nvidia GeForce RTX series card.
As portability is the key phase here, the 15-.6-inch laptop measures at 17.9mm in thickness and weighs a measly 2.1kg. It also comes with a compact 180W adapter.
The screen is a FHD IPS display that supports 144 Hz refresh rates and 3ms Overdrive response time. The Predator Triton 500 is also fitted with a lightweight RGB back-lit membrane keyboard that’s specially designed by Predator.
In terms of specs, you’ll have three configurations to pick from; all models come with the Intel Core processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX-series graphics cards. Here are the model options:
– Intel Core i5-8300H + Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB (RM6,799)
– Intel Core i7-8750H + Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB (RM7,599)
– Intel Core i7-8750H +Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 8GB (RM8,699)
The laptop also features a ‘Turbo’ mode which overclocks the system to deliver better performance. For cooling, the Predator 500 utilizes Acer’s 4th-gen Aeroblade 3D fans which Acer claims enhances airflow by 45% and reduces noise by 35%.
To sweeten the deal, the Acer Predator Triton 500 also supports dual-channel memory – every model comes with two sticks of 8GB DDR4 RAM, which can be upgraded to a dual-channel 16GB RAM setup. For storage, you get two 256GB SSDs which will give you a total of 512GB storage.
Despite its thin farme, the Acer Predator Triton 500 is fitted with a complete I/O port – one USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 3 support, 3 USB3.1, 1 HDMI port, Acer’s proprietary Display Port connector, a headphone jack and microphone jack.
The Acer Predator Triton 500 can be purchased online and at stores from this weekend. If you buy the laptop by April 4, you will be entitled to redeem one of either a copy of Battlefield V, Anthem or Metro Exodus.
