PUBG players, here’s your chance to shine! As Tencent, the world’s largest gaming company will be organizing Malaysia’s official first PUBG Mobile Tournament known as “PUBG Mobile Malaysia National Championship (PMNC)”. The event is sponsored by Vivo and Yoodo, and it will be attaining the best teams with state qualifiers across Malaysia to lead into the Grand Final event. Altogether, PMNC 2018 offers a grand total prize pool of MYR60,000, 16 units of V11i phones by Vivo and 1-year free mobile plan by Yoodo.

“This event is themed squad up, which will not only be happening for the participants but
also for the esports stakeholders in Malaysia. Together with the stakeholders, PMNC is
doing a complete ecosystem for Malaysia Esports, starting from players, teams, leagues,
fans and also sponsors. This competition is part of an effort to create a competitive
community through PUBG Mobile by Tencent Games. We hope this act will get nationwide
support, so that new talents in esports will grow in numbers. Furthermore, with esports
entering into the Asian Games 2019 scene, we hope that this PUBG Mobile tournament
will bring esports to a higher level, and will be able to bring Malaysia’s name to the level
of Asia and the global esports scene,” said Oliver Ye, Tencent Game’s SEA Director.

PMNC 2018 will have a total of four state qualifiers which includes Johor, Sabah, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur. The top 4 teams from each qualifier will then compete in the Grand Finals in Kuala Lumpur on 26 January 2019. Here’s the information of each qualifier date and venue as stated below.

Johor Qualifier : 22 December 2018, Aeon Tebrau City, Johor
Sabah Qualifier : 25 December 2018, Kompleks Karamunsing, Sabah
Sarawak Qualifier : 06 January 2019, Emart Batu Kawa, Sarawak
Kuala Lumpur Qualifier : 12 January 2019, Sunway Velocity Level 3, Kuala Lumpur
Grand Finals : 26 January 2019, Vanity Atrium, Sunway Velocity, Kuala Lumpur (16 Teams)
