MediaTek has officially launched the Helio P60 processor that is targeted at mid-range phones in China which comes with decent features an AI capabilities.

Based on the specs sheet, the P60 processor is built using 12nm chips, giving it more efficient than the 14nm chips that are in major mid-range processors and they said that they will move over to 7nm chips in 2019. When it came to comparing the P30 to the P60, MediaTek has claimed that it will reduce power consumption up to 25% when on heavy use, which should fair pretty well against the Snapdragon processor of the same range. The P60 consists of four Cortex A73 cores and four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2GHz. Other than that, it also has a dual-core AI Processing Unit (APU) which should handle features like AI, AR and VR easily.
