Honor Malaysia has confirmed that the Honor 8 Pro flagship phone will be getting the latest Android Oreo update soon. The new update will bring new features like picture-in-picture, more notification and Autofill controls and a system that remembers your login to your apps.

The phone powered by the Kirin 960 chipset and 6GB of RAM will see an overall performance increase which includes faster bootup and a more secure Google Play which will scan over 50 billion apps every day for threats. User experience will also be improved with features like double tap to wake and faster-charging speeds to get you up and running again when you run out of charge. The update will also help minimise background activity in apps which directly compliments the new EMUI 5.1 system by using machine learning to understand and learn your behaviour to reduce lag and ensure overall smooth operations.
