Just like the smartphone race, companies are also racing to release the best value gaming laptop and previously we covered the launch of the Omen by HP and what they offered was very appealing. They did not stop there because they have released another Omen laptop called the Omen X and it is a very powerful device.

The laptop comes with a 17-inch 4K display for the top end and a 120Hz 1080p display for the other variant. Both the screens will support Nvidia G-Sync and they will offer graphic cards up to a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 with the ability to connect two displays. Just like the previous Omen models, it is very easy to upgrade the laptop with just a single panel covering the HDD, SSD and RAM.

HP has also included mechanical switches for the RGB keyboard and each key can be customized with programmable lighting animation. Ports-wise there is three standard USB ports, two USB Type-C Thunderbolt ports, HDMI port which supports HDR, mini DisplayPort, Ethernet port and a card reader slot.
