Well Star Wars fans, it’s might be time once again for us to dust off our lightsabers, because a rumor going around that BioWare Austin, which was setup to develop Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO, is currently in the early stages of working on a new Knights of The Old Republic game. This information comes from industry insider Liam Robertson who base on his anonymous sources, mention this in his podcast which then was picked up by The Star Wars Game Outpost.
The game was initially set to be a remake of KOTOR but it evolved into something else. Roberston mention that the project will be “sort of like wiping the slate clean” in order to follow the new Star Wars canon. He goes on to mention that it started off as a remake but that it was going off the blueprint and became its own original thing and that it has been in development for a while now.
Although this rumor is not confirmed, but since EA has the rights to Star Wars videogames, and also seeing the flop that Star Wars Battlefront was, it looks likes EA could really cash in a large cheque from the release of a highly demand KOTOR game.
