After experiencing Tobii eye-tracking technology at last year’s Computex in Taipei, it is quite exciting to finally see it launched right here in Malaysia. Today at a launch event in Lowyat Plaza, MSI revealed the GT72S Dominator Pro G Tobii gaming notebook that features that very same eye-tracking technology. MSI partnered with Tobii Tech to integrate eye-tracking function into the GT72S, to offer greater game immersion and experience.

The GT72S Dominator Pro G Tobii is powered by Intel Core i7-6700HQ chipset and GTX 980M 8GB GDDR5 GPU with G-SYNC features. This gaming notebook also sports a 17.3-inch display with Full HD (1920×1080) and Ultra HD (3840×2160) options. During the launch event, Christina Xiao Teng, popular Dota 2 girl gamer gave a short demonstration on how Tobii eye-tracking worked in The Division game.

This compact 6.5-liter, 27.8cm high metallic silvery grey finish chassis is fitted with an overclockable Intel Core i7-6700/i7-6700K CPU, and NVIDIA GTX 960 3GB GDDR5 SLI or GTX 980 8GB GDDR5 SLI option. You can overclock and stretch the system from the basic 4GHz up to 4.6GHz.

MSI is also pretty invested in the e-sports scene by being part of international gaming tournaments, as well as supporting the local e-sport community and sponsoring local tournaments such as GamePlan at tertiary schools, with official game titles such as DOTA 2, Super Street Fighter V, Hearthstone, FIFA 16, and Assetto Corsa. 

The MSI GT72 Dominator Pro G Tobii 6QE – 1204MY is priced at about RM12,999. At this point, we are still trying to confirm the price of the MSI Vortex.Update:The MSI Vortex G65 6QF-030 with GTX 980 SLI is priced at RM18,999, while the Vortex G65 6QD-031 with GTX 960 SLI is priced at RM11,999. These newly launched machines are now available for sale at selected MSI dealers and outlets.
