Today, OPPO has decided to release its first product for the New Year, the OPPO F1.
Dubbed the ‘Selfie Expert’, the F1 lives up to its moniker by featuring an 8MP front-facing camera with a wide f/2.0 aperture lens and a 1/4-inch sensor, allowing for 44% more light to enter the camera when compared to an f/2.4 aperture lens. Images taken by this camera is 30% clearer than those taken with an ordinary 5MP front-facing camera. The ‘Beautify 3.0’ on the F1 allows users to remove blemishes, highlight a subject’s features and includes 3 different beautify modes along with 8 filters. For low-light conditions, the F1 comes with the patented ‘Screen Flash’ feature to ensure natural looking shots. The F1 has also been programmed to recognise hand gestures and spoken commands to take selfies.
The rear camera of the F1 is rather decent as well, sporting a 13MP rear camera with an ISOCELL sensor in order to reduce pixel noise. The F1 also features phase detection autofocus (PDAF), delivering a focus time of just 0.1 second, equivalent to the performance of an SLR camera. The camera is backed up by OPPO’s own Pure Image 2.0+ camera platform, offering a huge range of filters and plug-ins for everyone from the professional photographer to the neophyte snapper. In the performance department, the OPPO F1 sits comfortably in the mid-range sector. The OPPO F1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of storage space, expandable to up to 128GB of space. The phone runs on Android 5.1 with OPPO’s own ColorOS 2.1 skin.
For those interested in it, online purchases for the OPPO F1 will open at midnight today on OPPOStore.com.my. The first 200 customers who purchase the F1 will receive a free OPPO selfie stick.
