Its about time that OnePlus did something already, and the company will be announcing all the great stuffs about its next flagship on July 27, the OnePlus 2 is finally making smartphones interesting once again, as the phone has been reported to come with a reversible USB Type-C port and a second generation Snapdragon 810 processor that has got its overheating issue resolved.
Now that we all know the OnePlus 2 is going to be the most powerful smartphone and competitively priced smartphone upon its announcement, the company has mentioned that users will be able to experience the launch of the device in VR (virtual reality) and this literally means that if you have a VR headset lying somewhere you can actually use it to experience the launch of the phone. As OnePlus officials put it: “In our industry, product launches tend to be the same, an auditorium, a keynote, and a seated audience. For the OnePlus 2 launch, we didn’t want that barrier between us and you. A VR launch lets you stand right next to our team and our fans as we unveil our new flagship. You’ll be able to look around as you check out the phone in a new way and maybe even find a few hidden Easter eggs.
Apart from that, we certainly won’t rule out that the company will be launching its very own VR headset or a device similar to Google’s Cardboard (it has to be affordable, you see!), and we should be expecting some of the common hardware upgrades on the phone. Are you ready to experience the event in VR? We do, never settle.
