ASUS ROG’s GR series have been famous for being small and compact gaming machines, the company has just announced a lower end model but an even more quiet machine than its higher end brother, all thanks to NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 960 graphics that delivers superbly low power consumption and low noise even under full load.

The ROG GR6 measures 238mmx245mmx60mm which is relatively compact similar to its GR8 brother, hardware specs include an ultra low voltage Intel Core i5 5000U processor, 8GB DDR3-1600L RAM (supports up to 16GB), optional SSD storage, 802.11ac WiFi, Gigabit LAN, two USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and MiniDisplay outputs.

In terms of noise levels, ASUS has benchmark the machine to output a noise level of 20dB and 26dB on idle and full load respectively which is rarely audible, which should be good for gamers who wants to have a small gaming machine in their living room or having it turned on the whole time without actually worrying about noisy fans. According to sources, there has been no word on availability and pricing, but we guess it should be around RM3500 given its mid-range specs sheet.
