Last year, Apple was quick to introduce its new iPhones in the Malaysian market shortly after it begin selling in Singapore. Although the iPhone Xs is set to go on sale at September 21st, we should only expect sales to begin in another two weeks after the official sales date.
If you can’t wait, 11Street merchant T-Mobile has begin to accept pre-orders for the iPhone Xs and Xs Max, it ships on Septemer 23 with a 1-year International Warranty and the prices are rather close to the expected official retail price.
Apple’s international warranty for iPhones have been there since the iPhone 8, hence if your most current iPhone is purchased overseas, you will still be able to perform a warranty claim at a local authorized service center.
As for the iPhone Xs Max, it will cost you RM5499 for the 64GB model, RM6299 for the 256GB model, and RM7299 for the 512GB model.
While the higher storage models seem to have a more exorbitant mark up, the base 64GB storage models have a more realistic price tag given with shipping and taxes included.
But still, we strongly recommend that you purchase local units from authorized Apple resellers to get the proper support, as non-local iPhones are sometimes not qualified for Apple’s official repair programs if there’s any.
