ASUS one of the most leading graphic card manufacturer in the market managed to cultivate AMD aggressive “Grenada” silicon, which powers by the Radeon R9 390 and Radeon R9 390X. The company announced two high-end graphics cards based on its new triple-fan STRIX DirectCU III cooling solution and it is able to turn its fans off when the GPU is idling and begins to spin when there are some heavy 3D loads.
Besides that, the STRIX DirectCU III cooler almost identical to the GeForce GTX 980 Ti STRIX, it features a huge colossal aluminium fin stack heatsink to allow the heat drawn out from the GPU that has another four 10 mm thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes. This huge heatsink has contact bases even over the card’s 8-phase VRM, and a base plate that draws heat from its 16 GDDR5 memory chips (each is 512MB), overall will be 8GB.
The R9 390 STRIX offers factory OC of 1050 MHz, while the R9 390X STRIX offers 1070 MHz and both of the cards retain at 6.00 GHz for the memory clock. The pricing hasn’t been announced, we will keep you update as soon as we got the price.
