Samsung Galaxy Fit e fitness tracker goes official, promises up to 7 days of battery life

In February this year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Fit fitness tracker alongside the full-featured Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch and Galaxy Buds. The company has now quietly introduced a more affordable fitness tracker to take on the Mi Band 3 from Xiaomi. Dubbed Galaxy Fit e, the fitness tracker has been listed on the Samsung Spain website for EUR 39 (RM182).

The new Galaxy Fit e has a 0.74-inch monochrome OLED display, which shows the time and step count. However, the display can be configured to show your notifications as well as calendar events when synced with a smartphone.

In addition to tracking physical activities such as walking and running, the Galaxy Fit e also supports sleep tracking and comes with a built-in heart rate monitor. Samsung claims the fitness tracker can provide up to seven days of battery life under normal usage. Even though the Galaxy Fit e offers 5ATM water resistance, it lacks any sort of swimming-related tracking feature.

The Samsung Galaxy Fit e is now listed for pre-order on several European e-commerce stores, including Samsung’s own websites. It comes in three colors: Black, Yellow, and White. The affordable fitness tracker is expected to make its way to other markets around the world very soon.
