RedmiBook 14 now official with 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU

As expected, Redmi has introduced its first notebook alongside the Redmi K20 and flagship K20 Pro smartphones in China. Dubbed RedmiBook 14, the Xiaomi sub-brand’s first notebook comes with a premium metal construction and an impressive screen-to-body ratio.

The RedmiBook 14, as is quite clear by its name, comes with a 14-inch sized IPS display panel offering 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and a high 81.2% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, RedmiBook 14 is powered by Intel’s 8th Generation Core processors with up to 8GB DDR4-2400 RAM and 512GB SSD. While the base variant comes with an Intel Core i5-8265U processor, the top-end variant gets a Core i7-8565U. All variants of the notebook feature NVIDIA’s GeForce MX250 GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM.

Fueling the RedmiBook 14 is a 46Wh battery with fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, you will find two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0, and an HDMI 1.4. The notebook’s anodized aluminum body weighs in at just 1.5kg and is 17.95mm thick.

The RedmiBook 14 starts at CNY 3,999 (RM2,423) in China for the base variant with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. For the 512GB storage variant with the same processor, consumers will need to spend CNY 300 more. The top-end configuration with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD has been priced at CNY 4,999 (RM3,028). It is set to go on sale in China starting from June 11th via the Mi online store.
